Finding Your Niche (Satire)
…A descent into sanity from the clear-cut world of BULLSHIIIIIIT
Life is my niche. My niche is being alive - in a strange turn of events one might call “highly unlikely”. Call me Highly Unlikely from now on… “Jack” was getting old. Making me feel older than I am (31 btw).
My niche is the culmination of everything everywhere; all infinitudes condensed into this eternal zero-point we call “now”. NOW. The secret. The key to God and this Great Mystery. Now. It’s gone, and it’s just arriving — wait… it’s neither and both! Now. Where conflicts collapse. Where opposites unite. The art of the science of being. NOW! My niche is now. And whatever whiffs and flows and opportunistic chance encounters arise herein.
Can you smell the coffee in my handwriting?
Can you sense the fantastic chat about learning to weld that I just had with a bloke called Ian? See how the shapes are flowing and life is pouring through the words with an urgency and a sweetness? That’s my niche. The creative flows and playful touch that comes from the body of aliveness.
The plan is always to find this little wormhole of potential, then trustingly follow the gifts and hints that emerge.
My niche is my eye contact.
My listening.
My posture.
My readiness (organisation) to meet the chaotic whims of any weather or circumstance. It’s the fanny pack with the folded paper, pens, blu-tak in case I want to stick some writing on a wall, and cash (or card) ready to lubricate my footsteps and lighten my load. My comfy clothes for creating and my tiny folding rain poncho.
There can be no excuses for missed opportunities to connect with life. One must be in the water and wet to catch the wave. Once must be a tactician to break the silly rules that prevent enjoyment of the divine plan. The gold… it smiles from inside the mondane moody Monday (it’s Tuesday Wednesday today, but you get the point).
Will you smile back, you bloody grounch!?
Haha.
